The knowledge base is where you teach ChatCopilot about your business. The AI reads this when answering customer questions, so the more accurate it is, the better the replies.
What to include
Think about what customers ask most often:
- Business hours and days you are open
- Delivery areas and fees
- Return or refund policy
- Pricing for your most common services
- Contact number or address
How to add a file
- Go to Knowledge in the left sidebar of your dashboard.
- Select your business if you have more than one.
- Click Add file.
- Choose a method: Write from scratch, Use a template, or Paste text.
- Give the file a clear name (e.g. "Business Hours and Policies").
- Write or paste your content. You can use up to 3,000 characters per file.
- Click Save.
The AI starts using the new file within a few minutes.
Tips for better results
- Write in plain sentences, not bullet points wherever possible.
- Include specific details — "We deliver to Dhanmondi, Mirpur, and Uttara" is better than "We deliver locally."
- Update the file whenever your hours or prices change.
File limits
The Free plan allows one knowledge file. The Pro plan allows three files.
